Are You Ready For Some Football?
With the lockout over for the NFL, many fans and players can expect the unexpected. But what can they expect to happen?
We can expect quarterback's like Peyton Manning, Mike Vick, Tom Brady, and Philip Rivers to light up the scoreboard. Running backs like Arian Foster, Peyton Hillis, and MJD to have sick moves against the D. Receiver's like Reggie Wayne, Andre Johnson, Miles Austin, Megatron, and my boy Stevie Johnson to have catches that will make the Top Ten on Sportscenter, and make Gus Johnson say insane lines, and also have some creative dances.
On the D line, we can expect players Shaun Rodgers, Mario Williams, Jared Allen, and Dwight Freeney to make running backs scared to cross into their paths, and make quarterbacks remember there hits. For linebackers players like Ray Lewis, Clay Matthews, and DeMarcus Ware to stuff players when its crunch time and also make big plays to help out the D. And in the back field, we can see the play makers like Nnamdi Asomugha, Darrelle Revis, Nick Collins, and Darren Sharper to make interceptions, and embarrass wide receivers by knocking down passes.
Thank god the NFL Lockout is over. We can get back to the great game of football, no games were lost except the HOF game. Many people including myself can not wait to see what happens this year in the 2011 NFL Season

Pegula Keepin' His Word
On February 22, 2011, Terrance Pegula became the new owner of the Buffalo Sabres. He stated in his press conference "Starting today, the Buffalo Sabres' reason for existence will be to win a Stanley Cup." He also stated that "Starting today, there will be no financial mandates on the Buffalo Sabres hockey department" Today is July 3rd, and so far, Pegula is keepin' his word. The Sabres season ended last year in a exciting series that lasted 7 games against the heavily hated Flyers. Changes soon happened right after the NHL season ended. Pegula bought the Sabres old AHL affiliate, Rochester Americans, and they have now brought back their great relationship. And they even made a bigger impact at the NHL draft by drafting LW Joel Armia of the Finnish Elite League in the first round. Armia will be staying in Europe for the season to train. Also during the draft, we got Robyn Regehr from the Flames along with ex-Sabre Ales Kotalik in a trade that involved Paul Byron and Chris Butler.
Around every July, Sabres fans have always been let down by having some bad choices of picking up players that are on the free agent market. This season we were not let down. Christian Ehrhoff, who was on the Canucks last season, was signed to a 10 year, 40 million dollar deal. Also, the man who ruined pretty much every Sabres fan on Easter Sunday, Villie Leino, is on the team as well. Leino inked a 6 year 27 million deal.
To be honset, I was one of those people to say that Darcy Regier should be fired. Now that Pegulla let Regier have a open salary cap, my views on Regier have changed. I think that also Regier was told not to spend to much money on the team from Tom Golisano, the ex-Sabres owner. The Sabres will be one hell of a team to look for this NHL season. The Sabres are indeed very lucky to have a owner like Terry Pegula.

New NHL realignment?
With the Winnipeg Jets in the NHL, there have been talks about having a huge realignment change for the 2012-13 season. Currently the NHL has 6 divisions with 5 teams in each division. The Jets are in the Southeast division with the Capitals, Hurricanes, Lightning, and the Panthers. The new realignment would have two divisions with 8 teams and two divisions with 7 teams. The AHL uses this format. If the proposed realignment passes for the 2012-13 season, here is how I think it would look like.
East: Red Wings, Canadiens, Senators, Maple Leafs, Sabres, Bruins, Rangers, Islanders
South: Capitals, Penguins, Flyers, Hurricanes, Lightning, Panthers, Devils
Midwest: Blue Jackets, Jets, Wild, Blackhawks, Blues, Predators, Stars, Avalanche
Pacific: Oilers, Flames, Canucks, Sharks, Ducks, Kings, Coyotes
